Bone Grafts and Sinus Lifts

These two procedures both address a thinness of bone that may prevent the safe placement of dental implants or the use of dentures.
When bone mass has been lost, it can be restored with a bone graft. This procedure consists of opening the gum and placing tiny synthetic or natural bone fragments in the area of lost bone. Over time, these fragments stimulate the growth of new bone in the area.
Sinus lifts specifically address thin bone existing between the upper teeth and the sinuses. For successful implants to be placed in the upper jaw, this bone may need to be thickened. Our dentists’ superior surgical skills enable our patients to receive this care and their dental implants all in one office.
